Advantages of the Cyprus Golden Visa

The application process is streamlined and efficient, with a high success rate provided all requirements are met.
There is no obligation to live in Cyprus permanently, though a visit every two years is mandatory.
Dependents can attend top-tier private schools that offer English-language instruction.
The residence permit extends to the main applicant’s spouse and children under the age of 25.
The entire process can be managed remotely, with the exception of biometric data collection.
After seven years of residency, successful applicants may apply for Cypriot citizenship.

To be eligible for residency, applicants must meet both of the following criteria:

Investment Options (Choose One):

Purchase up to two new residential properties with a combined market value of at least €300,000 plus VAT. These properties can be bought from two different developers.
Purchase up to two new or used non-residential properties (e.g., offices, shops, hotels, or other developments) with a combined market value of at least €300,000 plus VAT.
Invest €300,000 in the share capital of a registered and operational Cypriot company that employs at least five people.
Invest €300,000 in units of Cyprus Investment Funds Association’s collective investments (AIF, AIFLNP, RAIF).
Financial Requirements:

Provide proof of a secured annual income of at least €50,000 from abroad. An additional €15,000is required for a dependent spouse and €10,000 for each minor child.

Additional Requirements:

Submit clear criminal record certificates from the applicant’s country of origin and country of residence, to be renewed every three years (applies to all adult dependents as well).
Provide an official statement confirming that the applicant will not be employed in Cyprus (exceptions apply to directors of companies they have invested in).

Applications for Cypriot residency must include fully completed application forms, along with the required fees and supporting documentation. Once approved, applicants must annually provide proof that they have maintained their investment and, if no longer covered by the General Healthcare System, evidence of valid health insurance. The required income from abroad can come from various sources, such as employment salaries, rental income, pensions, interest on deposits, or dividends from shares.
